# HyperSwitcher 1.7.0

This release adds a second Hyper shortcut layer, resizable layout regions, window history, and new ways to automate HyperSwitcher.

## New

- Enable a second shortcut layer and hold Left Shift with Hyper to assign another set of app, Shortcut Group, Finder, and window shortcuts.
- Window history adds Back and Forward shortcuts for returning through the windows you focused during the current HyperSwitcher session.
- Finder folders can now have their own Hyper shortcuts. HyperSwitcher opens the folder or focuses its existing Finder window.
- Profiles can switch automatically when a Mac laptop moves between using only its built-in display and an external display setup.
- The new Automation settings generate URL actions and Terminal commands for app switching, window placement, Profiles, Workspaces, Finder destinations, and window history.

## Changes

- Use Minus and Plus to resize a selected Quick Layout region or Workspace slot. Press Zero to make the current split equal again.
- Layout settings now let you customize window edge behavior and record the key used to maximize, restore, or combine layout regions.
- Workspaces can assign a newly focused window to the selected slot automatically.
- New setups now cycle through all of an app's windows by default when you press its shortcut repeatedly.
- App search now handles small typing mistakes, and Profiles are easier to rename or switch from the Settings sidebar.

## Fixes

- The menu bar can now reset HyperSwitcher's built-in Hyper key if its modifiers become stuck or its remapping needs to be restored.
- The built-in Hyper key stays responsive when another app briefly stalls.
- Quick Layout restores previous window sizes more reliably, and constrained windows align correctly after placement.
